Last night, as a treat my partner & I decided to give golden house a try - I wish I had stayed home!! Firstly, they tell me I HAVE to pay for the peking duck, because my partner wants to have the duck, I'm not keen on someone telling me what I will pay for when I know I WILL NOT EAT THE DUCK. Anyway, we sit down to a greasy table, I resist resting my elbows, I may not be able to unstick them from the grot on the surface! Our hotpot comes, so does a long black floaty hair... (*I suck it up & continue against my better judgement) we go up to choose our food... the seafood sits in dishes limp and luke warm.... there are not 1,2,3 but at least 5 flies chilling out on the bokchoy *my partner grabs some anyway claiming that "it's going to be boiled at the table anyway" - back at the table we find ANOTHER long black hair. I decided that boiled or not, I am no longer taking the risk! I sit there a further 20 mins until my partner finishes up & we head to Mc'Donalds. Great $60 later, we are both fed.... I spent 2 weeks in Malaysia, eating all the food on offer & never once was I disgusted as I was lastnight!! At least there are unlimited drinks... that come sealed! The waitress was lovely - the best thing about golden house was leaving.

Mmmm! The picture alone is making me drool! Yum! Is it just me or Chinese hotpots are growing significantly in the restaurant industry?

Yea @business Loans, alot of hotpots have been popping up in the past few months. I recommend you this one. There's also quite a good in box hill called little lamb. :)

best all you can eat hot pot place! highly recommended to anyone, so worth the travel!
