Pretty decent new (opened earlier this year) place to eat in Box Hill.

Yep, you guessed it – it’s Chinese.

Do you remember like 8 years ago, when Box Hill WASN’T filled with Chinese Restaurants?

8 years later, 2009 – the only non-asian shops in Box Hill that I can think of are La Porchetta, Flight Centre and Club X.

Anyway, back to the important stuff – 22 Secret Noodle is an awesome place to eat. Their “signature dish” (which wasn’t that great in my opinion) is the:

22 SECRET NOODLE

seriously, wtf? Indeed it plays along with this whole “secrecy” thing as the menu doesn’t tell anything more about the dish. Anyway I was adventurous enough to order it and it ended being a Beef Noodle soup dish. 5/10 for that one

Other stuff to mention – very cheap prices (especially on their mains – most of them are just above 10 bucks). !

Good dishes that we ordered below. Sorry there are no photos cos often we get too hungry to even think about anything other than food in our stomachs.

• Shredded Pork with Sweet & Sour Sauce (on rice or stand alone dish)
• Shredded Pork with Tea Tree Mushrooms
• Black Pepper Chicken
• Grilled lamb with cumin
• Garlic Cucumber

Also ordered the dumplings once and they were pretty crap – probably bought frozen and not made in the restaurant.

Anyway, if you are in Box Hill and want a change from your regular ChinaBar or David and Camy visits then try out 22 Secret Noodle.
