Straits Cafe ftw – even Matt Preston says so.
With the number of Malaysian restaurants popping up around Melbourne nowadays, finding good Malaysian cuisine can be likened to finding a needle in a haystack… tonight my friends, I think I may have found that needle.
If you frequently visit the eastern burbs (or even if you don’t), it’s worth popping into Straits Cafe for a well priced meal. They offer all the essentials; Char Kueh Teow, Hainanese Chicken Rice, Curry Laksa, etc. The menu isn’t exactly massive, but its big enough. Why waste time choosing when it cuts into precious eating time anyway…
Even MASTERCHEF judge Matt Preston found time to pay the place a visit (probably in between shopping for lame cravetes)
